Your place, your photos, your say

Extra Date Night helps couples find real things to do together: your trivia night, your tasting, your gallery opening. When we list something at your venue, the listing names you, shows the details from your own public pages, and sends people to your website to book or find out more. Listings are free and always will be.

Your photos

A listing looks best with a photograph of the actual place, and the best photographs of your place are the ones you took. They are yours, so we now add photos from a venue's website only when the venue tells us we may, credited to you and linked back to the page they came from. Otherwise we use openly licensed photos of your venue where they exist. Some older listings already show a photo from the venue's own site; if one of them is yours and you'd rather it weren't there, tell us and it comes down.

Saying yes

Reply to our email, or write to support@extradatenight.com from an address at your venue, with something like:

“I'm [name], [role] at [venue]. Extra Date Night may show photos from [your website] on its pages about [venue] and our events, credited to us.”

We keep that message as the record of your permission. It covers only our pages about your venue, and only photos from your own website.

Changing your mind

Write to the same address and we will stop: the photos we took under your permission come down, and we won't use your site's photos again unless you ask. To correct a listing, or to have something removed for any other reason, use our takedown form.

How we read your site

Our crawler identifies itself, obeys robots.txt, and keeps its distance. The details, and how to block it, are on the crawler page.
